The villages of Sierra de Guara
The Sierra de Guara counts dozens of typical Aragonese villages and little towns in the diferent valleys, on hillsides and plateaus that make up its territory.All the villages of the Pyrenees, and especially in Sierra de Guara, have been affected in the early twentieth century by the rural exodus of the region, some are still completely abandoned. Nevertheless, the tourism and the development of the canyoning, climbing, Via ferrata, trekking and others outdoor activities gave them a second wind while preserving their authentic character of aragonese and mountain villages.
Perfectly situated in the heart of the Natural Park of Sierra de Guara, Las Almunias de Rodellar is located at 699 m. altitude on the only road of communication of the Rodellar Valley at about 12km from Bierge and 4km from Rodellar.
Rodellar is located 740m above sea level in one of the most beautiful area of Spain, on the edge of the ravine Mascun considered one of the best in the world, this village offers multitudes of possibilities for adventure.
Located 602m above sea level near the confluence of the Alcanadre and Isuala rivers, Bierge, with a population of about 150 inhabitants, is perfectly located in a road cruse allowing to visit the southern part of Guara easily.
