LAS ALMUNIAS DE RODELLAR
Las Almunias de Rodellar (also called As Almunias or As Almunietas in aragonese) is one of the 13 villages of Bierge municipality in the Somontano de Barbastro area, in the center of Huesca provincis (Aragon – Spain). Situated at 699 m. aboe the sea level along the unique route roward the Rodellar Valley at 12km of Bierge and 4km of Rodellar. Perfectly placed in the heart of the natural park of the Sierra and Canyons of Guara to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities such as canyoning, hiking, climbing, ortnithology or mountain-biking with a fast access to the 2 mains rivers of Guara, the Alcanadre river (with canyons like Gorgas Negras and Peonera) and the Isuala River (with the barrancos of Balcés and its afluents). Nowadays, in this nice area of the Valle de Rodellar, there is only 20 inhabitants living, however, it has numerous services for tourist such as mountain guides of canyoning, accomodations, restaurants, bar, artesanal cheese prodution and interestings things to do and monuments to visit::

A bit of history concerning Las Almunias de Rodellar…
Old people says that in 1646, Las Almunias already counted 4 houses. The casa Cáncer is the building more complete with symbols on the front door with the words: DOMINGO BIBAN AÑO 1761. Another vestige of the past is the church and the hermitage of the Trinidad built bw¡etween the century XII – XVIII.
